Chassis-Mounted Ethernet, Fast Ethernet and Token Ring Media Converters

The BATM Multiverter is a universal enclosure designed to power up various Media Converters Plug-in Cards. A combination of Ethernet, Fast Ethernet, and Token Ring converters can be installed in the Multiverter. Each Multiverter can hold up to: 21 Fast Ethernet media converter cards with one port each; 21 Ethernet media converter cards with 2 ports each (total of 42 ports); 21 Token Ring media converter cards with one port each, or any combination of the above. The media converters support copper, fiber multi-mode, fiber single-mode, and fiber single-mode extended-distance interfaces. BATM’s Multiverter supports a variety of F.O. connectors, including ST, SC and 3M Volition™ VF-45™ connector.
The chassis is compliant with all relevant RFI/EMI regulations and standards. The internal power supply can be delivered as switching, redundant, or -48V DC.
