The Titan T5Pro is somewhat a paradox. It is hard to believe that reducing network hardware increases networking performance, but such is the case with the Titan T5Pro. The versatile high-density four slot chassis with redundant power supplies can scale up to 64 fiber or copper Ethernet/Fast Ethernet ports with 4 Gigabit Ethernet ports or 12 Gigabit Ethernet ports. A non-blocking store and forward architecture and wire speed performance ensure that the Titan T5Pro squeezes every once of performance out of the network. The titan T5Pro includes integrated WAN capabilities, such as IP routing and Packet over SONET (PoS) support. IP routing functionality includes support for all the standard routing protocols. PoS, at both OC-3 (155 Mbps) and OC-12 (622 Mbps), enables the LAN to comfortably span to the corporate WAN. Broad management capabilities allow the Titan T5Pro to perform layer 2-7 switching, offer multi-flavored VLAN support, as well as support for Differentiated Services, IGMP, and QoS among other things.
